On October 15, 2014, when I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I immediately took a medical leave of absence from work + dove my Aries type A personality into the cancer world head first . . . I felt certain that I had to be my own health advocate . . . I knew that no one was going to "fix this" for me . . . no one would take my hand + say this is the way to optimal health, no one would give me the "right" decisions to make along the way. This blog is the result of my research efforts + my wanting to pay it forward so that maybe you can benefit from what I've learned.
Why call it cancer jewelry? Well, after I was diagnosed + the news (a/k/a SHOCK) that I had breast cancer started settling in, I asked my sweet husband one evening "does this mean Mama gets some cancer jewelry?" because at the end of it all, we all want to look good, feel good + have a little sparkle to smile about as we move about our days.
I hope you find a little sparkle in this blog . . . something that is useful, comforting, enlightening or maybe a tid bit found in here will lead you to other information that will help you along your path.
